Why did you apply to us at University West and to this programme?

I want to become an international businessman trading all over the world, so I needed a study environment with international exposure. I found Sweden to be the best place for this. I was also looking for a one-year Masters programme, and the Master in International Business at University West was the best option.

HOW have you experienced studying AT UNIVERSITY WEST?

University West has taught me a lot, the lecturers always include case studies in the education. The students are always asked to do research and presentations, in all courses, in every module, to make sure they understand the module they are doing.

What is the most exciting you have done during the studies? Tell us about that.

I managed to enroll myself to learn the Swedish language, which was very exciting. I have also applied for an internship programme at some international companies here in Sweden. I am waiting to hear back from them now and I’m hoping to be able to start the internship once I am done with my studies at University West.

Can you describe the environment and culture at the unviersity? What do you think about the student life in Trollhättan?

Trollhättan is a small city with a small population. The city is not crowded, and it is beautiful, with much nature and water. It’s easy to study and learn in this environment.

University West is located the heart of Trollhattan city, and it is a culture diverse university where you can find students from all over the world. Including students from America, it is not common to find Americans attaining their degrees from Sweden, but they do at University West.

The Student Union organizes events every Thursday evening, so that both the Swedish and international students can meet up and have fun. From Trollhättan it’s only a 40-minute train ride to Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden. The students also often go there to have fun and tour around.

What are you up to when you are not studying?

Me and a group of international students have formed a football club, so we play football on our spare time. There are also other clubs that students can join, like cricket, tennis, and many more. 

Tell us about your future plans?

I want to become one of the worlds most renowned businessmen, where I do business both online and in many different countries all over the world. I also dream of working with football management, since it’s one of the riches markets in the world.

How do you think the studies here at University West and your programme can help you to reach your goals?

All the courses I am taking have an international focus and are based on research conducted on multinational companies that has found strategies for success. The knowledge I acquire through my studies and taking part of this research gives me more than enough to be able to fulfill my future businesses.
