Virtual factory and robot cell simulation
We already see how digitalization has challenged and transformed several different areas of our everyday life as well as our professional life. The objective of the course is to increase the student's knowledge concerning the virtual factory and robotic simulation level to create the digital twin of the production and the process. These techniques enable capabilities of industry 4.0 technologies. In the course, students will gain theoretical knowledge on virtual factory and robotics simulation technologies as well as practical handling of industrial robots. Robotic applications in focus are arc welding, robotized controlled milling and grading.
Content
- Virtual factory and digital twin including factory scanning
- Understanding and knowledge to use robot simulation tools to make decisions regarding factory solutions
- Simulation and programming of industrial robots using commercial robotic simulation tools
