Wifi - eduroam
We recommend you who are a student at University West to use our WiFi eduroam. After installing eduroam you get an automatic connection to Internet as soon as you come to the University campus and other places where eduroam is available.
Eduroam is available at almost all European universities and at airports, libraries, hotels and train stations. It is also available in other parts of the world.
How do I connect to eduroam?
In order to use eduroam you must have an University West account and have proven your identity. Please note that if you have got a West Card you have already proven your identity! You will find more information on how to identify yourself under the heading "How do I identify myself?".
When you have proven your identity, follow the installation guide, on the guide page under the heading Wireless network. If you have installed eduroam earlier and already know how it works, you can go directly to eduroam.hv.se to install eduroam on your device.
How do I identify myself?
- The easiest way to prove your identify is to show a valid photo ID at the Servicecenter and say that you want to prove your identity. The vast majority have already done so in connection with getting the West Card.
- Another possible way to prove your identity is by using an electronic identification. In our system, you can do so by browsing to http://mittkonto.hv.se, click Edit, log in, and choose to identify yourself. Then you are able to prove your identity by signing in with the login you received from antagning.se
