Do the financial markets echo the decisions of political corridors, and economic landscapes dance to the tune of policy frameworks, or maybe it is the other way round? Can a financial crisis lead to a political crisis? Finance and Politics course serves as a bridge to understand the interplay between these two powerful realms, this time putting Finance in the focal point. We will look at role of various players: investors, financial institutions, information providers, administration and oversight to gain understanding how financial markets operate and how they impact the global economy. We will learn the characteristics of basic financial instruments offered to investors. Finally, we will also reflect on the role of ethics and innovation on financial markets and analyse the roots of the greatest financial crises.
