Primus is a force in this development. Here, the business community and the University West work together to develop new research and skills in technology and learning.
UNIQUE COMBINATION OF RESEARCH AREAS CREATES NEW VALUES
Primus builds on three of the University West's established research areas:
- Production processes
- Production systems
- Industrial Work Integrated Learning, I-AIL
Technology and learning in new combinations can, for example, provide effective tools for the industry to be able to benefit from research results in its markets more quickly.
10-YEAR BUDGET GIVES MORE AND Wider RESEARCH
University West is one of the few universities in Sweden that receives long-term multi-millionth support for ten years from the Knowledge Foundation to build a strategically complete academic environment - a so-called KK-environment.
Primus offers great opportunities to further develop and broaden the research in technology and learning that already exists in the research environments Production Technology West (PTW) and Learning in and for the new working life (LINA).
Primus' research project is formed through dialogue with representatives from the business sector and public actors who are co-financiers.
