Introduction to Political Thought introduces students to some key debates and thinkers on politics in human history. The course is historically and thematically structured and concentrates on central concepts within political philosophy, such as power, justice, freedom, equality, democracy, state, government, and citizenship. How have these concepts been understood, from ancient Greece to the present? What relevance do they have for contemporary politics?
