This course is focused on how to optimize the manufacturing processes using traditional optimization with the aim of reducing cost and improving production. These optimizations include maximizing output rate and reducing energy consumption. This course also covers various evolutionary optimization algorithms and techniques used in Industry. The course consists of seminars and practical based computer lab sessions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Degree of Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and management. Additionally the Bachelor of Science degree must be comprised of a minimum of 5 HE credits in programming and 15 HE credits in mathematics. Verified knowledge of English corresponding to the course English B/English 6 in the Swedish Upper Secondary School (high school) or equivalent.
General entry requirements and approved result from the following course/courses:
RMB600-Robot Modelling and
RSM700-Robotic Simulation and
SMA700-Simulation of Automated Production or the equivalent.
