"I work at Scania within the industrial development department that is globally responsible for research and external cooperation. The Sicomap research school and my PhD education have been very important for me and my company. My research has focused on a holistic and business value-oriented approach to manufacturing system design. This allows for novel and innovative aspects to be considered in the development of our manufacturing systems.

Apart from the research topic itself, I have also obtained an in-depth understanding of the national innovation landscape and built a strong network relating to research and development. This insight and contacts might be of more importance than my own research, as it allows for the whole of Scania to be more involved in research and external cooperation."
