About the conference

This annual academic conference is arranged by the Swedish Arena for Additive Manufacturing of Metals, which is a network for collaboration with the goal to increase adoption and speed up sustainable industrialization of metal AM (coordinated by Swerim).


The conference aims to reinforce the network of researchers from Sweden within the field of Additive Manufacturing of Metals.

For whom?

PhD students and Postdocs will present and highlight their most recent findings. 


Invited talks from the international academic experts in the field of metal Additive Manufacturing. You'll find the conference program further down on this page. A site visit to the Production Technology Center in Trollhättan will also be included in the program. Here you will get the chance to see the latest research on additive manufacturing at University West including state of the art laser powder bed fusion equipment, as well as the corresponding facilities of GKN Aerospace.


University West is located in the city of Trollhättan, Sweden. The town is beautifully situated along the Göta River and has a rich history of industry and innovation and is today home to many large, medium and small manufacturing companies. How to get here? How much?

The registration fee is 2000 SEK (incl. VAT) which includes access to all invited talks and sessions during the conference, lunch, mingle, dinner on the 10th of January and lunch on the 11th of January.
